We have much experience of working with Children and Families Teams. Consultancies have included teambuilding and awayday facilitation working with staff teams of children with learning disabilities, respite care centres, CAMHS, Children and Families, LAC Quality Protects, Surestart and NHS teams. This has included very specific consultancy and training on working with different communities, religions and cultures and developing appropriate service delivery. Much emphasis has been on integrating Valuing Diversity into all practice. We are external supervisors to social workers, family centre workers, mental health managers and we offer consultation to staff teams experiencing difficulties in their work practice. We have also consulted staff teams working with asylum seekers.
We have a Social Services background, have detailed knowledge of Warner, Utting, Waterhouse and Laming recommendations and gaining a knowledge of Bichard. Our lead consultant has been a member of an ACPC, a local authority Children and Families Inter-Agency Forum, managed a Children and Families team, area manager for group homes for adults with learning disabilities and has consulted to numerous staff teams working in every area of Social Services and Education including much work with Early Years Partnerships Teams, Quality Protects and Surestart, worked with Head Teachers, SMTs and governing bodies with much emphasis on Child Protection issues. We have carried out much work in the recruiting and selecting of staff for vulnerable adults and children including the development of appropriate HR procedures, training materials and developing and delivering training.
